WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) has strongly criticized President Biden's proposed $7.3-trillion budget for Fiscal Year 2025. Feenstra expressed his concerns, stating that the budget reflects the administration's "reckless spending policies" that have contributed to high inflation and financial strain on American families.
Feenstra highlighted the implications of the budget, indicating that it would result in significant tax increases for families, farmers, and businesses, amounting to $5.5 trillion. Additionally, he pointed out that the budget would lead to a substantial increase in the national debt, projecting it to reach $45 trillion within a decade. Furthermore, Feenstra noted that the proposed budget would leave the country with a $1.8-trillion budget deficit for Fiscal Year 2025.
Concerned about the current economic trajectory, Feenstra emphasized the challenges faced by American families, citing a rapid rise in national debt and increased costs of living. He underscored the need to address these issues promptly, stating, "That’s why we cannot continue to print money out of thin air, borrow money that we can’t afford, and spend money that we don’t have."
Expressing his commitment to fiscal responsibility, Feenstra asserted, "As a strong, fiscal conservative, it is my mission to end wasteful government spending and finally balance our budget to build a stronger and more prosperous economy for our children and grandchildren."
